Located along the picturesque south-western coast of Victoria, Warrnambool marks the western end of the Great Ocean Road. The area is also known as the Shipwreck Coast. Warrnambool has a rich history with a number of buildings dating back more than 150 years when the city was a main port for whaling vessels.
Warrnambool is a busy coastal city that boasts an excellent beaches and great shopping for tourists. Try your hand at fishing, surfing or horse riding on the beach or find a spot at the viewing platform at Logans Beach for some amazing whale-watching opportunities. These giants return between June and October each year to their nursery at the beach to give birth and raise their calves. They can often be seen just 100 metres off the shore.
