Torquay is a township in Victoria 20 km south of Geelong and sits at the start of the Great Ocean Road. It also sits against the coastline and overlooks Bass Strait. Torquay has a population of roughly 7,000 people and is 100km south-west of Melbourne. 

It is also home to the world famous Bells Beach which hosts the Rip Curl Pro, Australia's biggest surfing event. The event runs from the 16th-27th April 2014 with all the big names from around the world competing including Kelly Slater and current World Champion, Mick Fanning.
